Et nous continuons à faire plus petit à petit. Je suis presque fini avec mes preparations du compartiment moteur pour le sablage et attaquer la rouille

So what did I do this weekend:

I removed the gas tank


Painted the brake booster



Also did a road trip of 400km for some parts (northern part of the Netherlands), but well worth the drive!
- ACL bearings
- Refurbished T28 turbo
- HKS filter
- APEXI S13 intercooler
- S13 engine dampers (not in the pics)

And came into battle with my dirty front subframe as it was a very dirty boy!

@Alundra, mostly cleaning/painting but also changing some bolts/rubbers and using copper grease when re-tightening the bolts. Cleaning old rubbers with clean oil also makes a big difference. Oh ... and lots of patience and dirty hands!

J'ai aussi acheter un collecteur d'echappement de XS Power, mais j'ai lu qu'ils peuvent se rompre. Quelqu'un at-il une expérience avec cela?

pour les collecteurs, souvent l'inox est fin, donc il faut le renforcer.
une solution est de soutenir le turbo avec une (ou 2) béquille montée sur rotules.

So what happened today:

Made the s12 look badass for a few seconds


Released 4 prisoners from their cage, at least for some days


Enjoyed some Japanese art


Ready for honing!


CA18DET plans:
- New seals
- New oil pomp
- New water pomp
- New gaskets
- New main & big end bearings (ACL duraglide)
- New head bolts
- New piston rings and oil scraper
- Hone pistons
- Flatten head

And then ofcourse put everything back together

Cette semaine j'ai fait les dernieres étapes de preparer la compartiment moteur et puis j'ai fait la peinture (Toyota - Ivory White/New White 041 - facelift AE86 coleur). Je savais que c'est beaucoup de boulot mais si beaucoup . Mais ca vaut la peine venu le resultat!




J'ai aussi fait quelque photos d'avant/apres qui vraiment donnent une idée du choses/preparations qui ont été fait

- Suspension + brakes (S13 swap)
- Engine swap (CA18DET)

Time for some update:
- Treathed the wheel wells with some anti-stonechip
- Revised my brakes and gave them some new paint
- New ball joints and outer tie rods
- Repainted the whole suspension + various other bits
- Rebuild the complete suspension (change parts where needed)
